Twin Rivers Charter School (TRCS) is celebrating its 18th year as an independent charter school in Yuba City, CA (northern California). TRCS serves over 480 TK - 8th grade students on our state of the art campus.
TRCS is a high achieving school having received numerous awards in the last two years including: 2023 CA Distinguished Schools, Redesignation as a CA Middle School to Watch, CA Green Ribbon School, PBIS Platinum Award,and 2022 CA Pivotal Practice Award recipient.
Our staff consists of 23 certificated staff and 24 classified employees and we have a very engaged community and staff. The TRCS board of directors has a high level of involvement at the school supporting student success through programs and activities; and staff morale through a generous compensation package, performance recognition program, and excellent working conditions.
TRCS offers highly competitive salary packages which in 2022/2023 included a 15% total salary increase: 8% on the salary schedule and 7% off the schedule for performance recognition. TRCS offers valuable employee benefit packages that include $11,800 employer paid CAP for health, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, CalPERS and CalSTRS retirement, supplemental 403b retirement plans, 529 plans, FSA and dependent care savings plans.
In addition to paid professional development days, certificated staff is paid for after school tutoring through ELOP funds. Our TRCS board of directors recognizes and rewards student and staff success! TRCS continues to gain momentum in student achievement gains and closing identified achievement gaps, while COVID resulted in some learning losses TRCS has surpassed pre-COVID CAASPP data in mathematics and science (and is close in ELA). TRCS is committed to professional development and extensive curriculum training for staff.
